Loan
Action Scotland
(LAS) provides interest-free loans to improve energy efficiency
within your company. Cost savings will be made as a result of installing
more energy efficient equipment that can benefit your bottom line – particularly
as energy costs continue to increase. The interest-free loan can help your
business to realise an immediate and ongoing reduction in energy costs, and
reduce Climate Change Levy contributions.
You can apply for a loan between £5,000 and £100,000 interest free and repayable up to 4 years. The loan can be used in order to support the installation of new energy saving measures.
Through implementing measures, such as improving lighting or compressed air, your business could reduce its energy consumption, saving both money and CO2. As a result, considerable energy savings would be realised throughout the year. Reducing energy costs could make a major contribution to the competitiveness, profitability and economic sustainability of your company.
LAS is available for small and medium sized companies. To be eligible your company must have been trading for at least 12 months, have fewer than 250 employees and a turnover less than £28 million.
LAS is supported with finance from the Scottish Executive and the East of Scotland European Partnership (ESEP).
